Join Us As We Read So You Want To Talk About Race And Chat About What We Learn!
A month ago I wrote that, “everything hurts.” in regards to George Floyd’s murder, the protests, the further police violence in response, etc. And now? Well, not much has changed. The protests are still going on. They’re still being met with individual, communal, and systemic racism virtually every step of the way.
It’s hard. It’s going to continue to be difficult probably for years or, more likely, even decades.
And joining a book club won’t magically erase racism or solve all our problems but we’ve got to do something and helping people get educated, inspired, and motivated to be as anti-racist as possible feels like a great place to start. So please, join us this Saturday afternoon!
We’ll be discussing, So You Want To Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo. If you haven’t read it yet but still want to join in the conversation that’s 100% fine by us! We’ll be meeting for an hour via zoom at 2pm on July 4th, 2020. To sign up, just click the button below and send me an email. I’ll send the zoom link out before the event. Thanks!
