Get Your Weekend Binge On While Also Advancing The Cause Of Racial Justice!
The world is going crazy right now. We’re still in the midst of a global pandemic that doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. But we’re also in the middle of one of the largest reaching and impactful prolonged protests around systemic racism and police violence brought on by the murder of George Floyd. Many black people, and other people of colour, are looking for hope that they’re not alone in this fight. Many white people are just waking up to the fact that the world isn’t anywhere near as “fair and equal” as it seemed to them.
Regardless of which camp we find ourselves in, it’s given us all a kick up the backside in terms of pursuing more; more education, more action, more questions. We’ve all probably got a list of books in our heads that we plan on reading soon, a million podcasts that we know we want to listen to, but many of us are struggling to get started.
So, to help, we’ll be posting a weekly recommendation of what you can watch to challenge, to educate, and to motivate yourself to take action in your pursuit of being anti-racist. This weekend we’re recommending a web series called, “The Next Question”! It’s hosted by 3 amazing women; Chi Chi Okwu who is a gifted leader specialising in strategic planning and mobilisation, Austin Channing Brown who is a brilliant writer and speaker, and Jenny Booth Potter who is a Creative Producer.
Each episode is about 40-50 minutes long, with a few longer and shorter exceptions, and tackles a topic relevant to racial justice. All 8 episodes of Season 1 are available to watch, free of charge, on their website and I can promise you it’s a heck of a lot better for you than binging Tiger King!
So check out the trailer below and click through to The Next Question website to watch it today!
